How will Givzy.com make me a citizen philanthropist?
Whenever you or your friends choose to respond to a discreet ad in Givzy-mail, we will donate 25% of the revenue that we receive to the selected school or non-profit. Thanks to your action, a donation will be made to a good cause… but it costs you nothing!

How do I forward Givzy-mail to my friends?
You can forward a Givzy-mail like any other e-mail. Once you receive a Givzy-mail in your email inbox, simply forward it as you normally would, using your existing contacts (and/or Givzy Group List). The more emails / people you forward the email to, the more you can give to good causes!

Can I choose the organization I want to benefit?
If you’ve specifically signed up through one of our partner non-profits (i.e. via a newsletter or website link) then all of your proceeds will go to them. Otherwise…simply select the non-profit of your choice from our drop down available during the sign up process, in the optional section! If you don’t select a non-profit in the optional registration section or if you don’t fill out the optional registration section at all, your dollars are split among our general pot of benefitting non-profits. (Click here to see the current list.) Hopefully you’ll find a cause that you’d like to support and we are working hard on giving you more options to choose from in the near future.

How do the organizations, schools and non-profits receive donations?
When a Givzy-mail subscriber responds to one of the ads a Givzy-mail, the advertiser pays Givzy an agreed-upon amount. We send 25% of that amount to non-profits and good causes. That’s a lot of money that Givzy.com gives!

Is the money I raise for schools and non-profits a tax deduction for me?
Good try! Unfortunately, you can only deduct money that you’ve donated from your own income! Since it is not actually coming out of your pocket, there is nothing to deduct. But think of the good you’ve done without spending a penny of your own. If you have additional questions, please consult your accountant or tax advisor to get the most accurate info on this subject.

Other Internet Service Providers
If you've subscribed to Givzy, but aren't receiving our e-mails, your Internet Service Provider or company is probably blocking them, under the misguided assumption that they're protecting you from unsolicited lewdness. Fix this by:
  • Getting in touch with technical support at your ISP or company and explaining the problem. If they're blocking e-mail from Givzy, ask them to stop. If they refuse, hit them. One way they can assist you is to put Givzy.com, givzy@givzy.com and/or the following IP address on a "safe list": TBD
  • Setting up your own safe list, which some e-mail systems allow you to do. Look for the safe list in the settings section, and add "Givzy.com" (no quotes). If you have to enter a complete address, use "givzy@givzy.com". Some e-mail systems require a sender to be in your address book to keep the e-mail from being diverted to a "junk" or "bulk" mail folder. If your system has this requirement, add "givzy@givzy.com" (no quotes) to your address book.

Signing up under another email account, or change ISPs to a provider that doesn't block your e-mail or otherwise stick its nose in your business.
